Rockefeller Group Logistics Center in Piscataway is a state-of-the-art, master-planned industrial park that was developed to meet sustained demand from both industrial users and investors for Class A warehouse and distribution space along the I-287 corridor. Rockefeller Group purchased a 226-acre and partially remediated the brownfield parcel at 171 River Road. Once certification is complete, one of the park’s facilities will become the first industrial building in the world to achieve both LEED and WELL certification – serving as a catalyst for broader adoption of WELL standards in industrial facilities

The first building, a 725,000-square-foot distribution center located at 300 Ridge Road, was fully leased during construction to Best Buy. It features 36-foot clear ceiling heights, 137 cross-docked loading positions and 195-foot truck docks.
Local government officials, tenants and neighbors joined Rockefeller Group executives and staff in celebrating the official opening in 2019. The community of Piscataway, including Piscataway Mayor Brian C. Wahler, were instrumental in getting the project approved and developed.
“One of the biggest challenges facing mayors across the country is how to return deserted business areas to productive economic use,” said Piscataway Mayor Brian C. Wahler. “I can’t say enough about everyone who helped bring this project to fruition and thank Rockefeller Group for taking a creative approach to cleaning up this site, creating new jobs for our residents, and providing the revenue to build our community center.”
