About the development

Rockefeller Group and The Meridian Group co-developed Boro Tower, a 437,000-square-foot trophy office building in Tysons, Va. Located at 8350 Broad St., the class-A office tower is part of The Boro, a 15 acre transit-oriented mixed-use project steps from the Greensboro Metro station. Designed by Gensler, and completed in 2019, Boro Tower is now 95% leased with approximately 20,000 square feet available. From its vantage on “The Hill” – the highest ground elevation in Fairfax County – Boro Tower offers panoramic views from the Blue Ridge Mountains to downtown Washington. The 20-story building, which has achieved LEED Gold certification, features a shimmering glass curtain wall, accented by a modern, white-glazed terra cotta. The project was Rockefeller Group’s inaugural development in the greater Washington, D.C. region, following the company’s successful completed investments downtown, which included 1100 First Street and 1101K Street in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate New York. The building features 9- to 10-foot finished ceiling heights and ideally sized, efficient floor plates that minimize columns and maximize daylight and views. Located next to Boro Park, the building offers ample amenities, including a rooftop terrace, spacious lobby, fitness center, locker rooms, bicycle storage and parking. The Tower also features 10,000 square feet of lobby-level retail space. Major tenants include KPMG, Tegna, Hogan Lovells, Womble Bond Dickinson and Alion Science and Technology, among others.

About The Boro

Boro Tower is located within The Boro, the area’s premier Metro-oriented development. The project has already begun to transform the Tysons market from a commuter-driven “Edge City” to a dynamic, self-sustaining urban district.

The 15-acre development consists of a dynamic mix of office, rental and for-sale residential, retail, entertainment and open park space – a walkable amenity-rich urban environment. Located near Route 7, Route 123 and Greensboro Drive, The Boro is designed to draw people outside — with pedestrian-friendly roadways, attractive open spaces and a variety of restaurants offering outdoor seating. The community features a flagship Whole Foods Market store as well as one of the area’s most luxurious cinemas — Kerasotes ShowPlace ICON Theatres.
