Atlanta’s Tallest New Tower in 30 Years Reaches Construction Milestone

Midtown’s 1072 West Peachtree Surpasses Office Floors on 60-story Climb to Top of City Skyline

ATLANTA, GA – April 14, 2025 – Rockefeller Group, the U.S. real estate firm founded in 1928 to develop New York’s Rockefeller Center, announced that construction on 1072 West Peachtree – rapidly rising in the heart of Atlanta’s bustling Midtown neighborhood – has now exceeded the 20th floor, completing concrete pouring of the office tower and Midtown’s largest, one-acre outdoor amenity deck, with the residential tower structure well underway. Once complete in Spring 2026, the 60-story mixed-use trophy tower will bring boutique, five-star Class A office space with unprecedented amenities, rental residences with the city’s highest views, and neighborhood-enhancing ground floor food and beverage experiences to one of Atlanta’s most dynamic locations. 1072 West Peachtree is the tallest building to be built in Atlanta in over 33 years, and once topped out later this year, it will be the tallest residential and tallest mixed-use building in Atlanta, as well as the fifth tallest building in the city overall.

Designed by Atlanta-based TVS, 1072 West Peachtree will rise a total of 749 feet and offer many unique features and firsts for its tenants and residents. The 224,000 square feet of premium office space will bring unparalleled fitness and spa experiences, dining and entertaining, substantial private outdoor space, flexible design and layouts, and other desired features for modern tenants, presenting a unique offering to Atlanta’s existing commercial office spaces. Already well under construction, 1072 West Peachtree is the only office development of its caliber and scale in the city’s pipeline, putting it at the forefront of Atlanta’s economic growth and future. Office leasing is led exclusively by CBRE’s Jessica Doyle and Graham Little.

“1072 West Peachtree is a development unlike anything else in the market and will completely transform Midtown Atlanta’s West Peachtree corridor,” said John Petricola, Senior Managing Director of the Southeast Region at Rockefeller Group. “We’ve thoughtfully designed the tower to maximize productivity and convenience for our tenants through world-class amenities and the highest level of service in an office setting anywhere in the city. We’re delivering an experience for our office and residential tenants that is truly all-encompassing, from day-to-night.”

The 10th floor of the tower offers over one-acre of indoor and outdoor amenities and will be home to Atlanta’s largest outdoor amenity deck, featuring collaborative and lounge seating areas, and a flexible-use lawn for gathering, gaming, or events. The 10th floor will also offer resort-style amenities within its 30,000-square-foot indoor footprint which includes elegant lounges, meeting spaces and conference rooms; a fitness club complete with spa treatments, cardio and strength training, innovative recovery techniques, a yoga studio; and more. Together with the thoughtful design and experience on the ground floor, the building’s amenities allow for seamless transitions from day to night with multiple options for all-day dining, including coffee, casual grab-and-go and sit-down experiences.

Office tenant space spans floors 11-18 and will feature flexible layouts that allow for individual workstations, collaborative space and conference rooms, with 10-foot finished ceiling heights providing incredible views of the city on all floors. Designed to maximize productivity and wellness, 1072 West Peachtree is the only office building in Atlanta to feature a spacious private outdoor terrace on each floor to enhance indoor-outdoor connectivity.

The development of 1072 West Peachtree highlights Rockefeller Group’s commitment to the continued growth of Midtown and the City of Atlanta. In 2021, Rockefeller Group and Selig Development delivered 40 West 12th – the  64-unit luxury condo tower part of the 1105 West Peachtree project – a $530 million tri-tower, mixed-use development in the heart of Midtown Atlanta home to Google’s Southeast Hub and the Epicurean Hotel. Rockefeller Group currently has its Southeast Region headquarters office in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood.
