Brandi Hanback is Executive Vice President, Deputy Head of Development and Head of FTZ, Trade & Logistics for Rockefeller Group. In this role, Ms. Hanback has a direct leadership role in overseeing the company’s national development platform, increasing activity in existing markets, and expanding into new markets. She also oversees the company’s longstanding Foreign Trade Zone division, which works directly with tenants and clients on a consulting basis as needed on complex international trade, logistics and customs matters. Rockefeller Group’s tenants and clients include large multinational manufacturers and distributors engaged in importing and exporting.
From 2013 to 2019, she was Executive Vice President of Industrial Development, where she led the industrial business line in the completion of more than eight million square feet of development nationally, contributing significantly to the company’s most active decade for development since inception.
Prior to joining Rockefeller Group in 2003, Ms. Hanback was a Senior Manager and Area Leader at KPMG LLP in Washington, D.C. Ms. Hanback also served for 10 years as Executive Director of the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones. In this capacity, she represented the interests of FTZ grantees, operators, and users through interaction with officials in the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Treasury Department, U.S. Customs & Border Protection, Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, and key congressional committees involved in international trade.
Ms. Hanback holds a Juris Doctorate and is admitted to the bars of Maryland, District of Columbia and the U.S. Supreme Court. She holds a master’s degree in international transactions, is a licensed Customs Broker and an Accredited Zones Specialist. Ms. Hanback is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones (NAFTZ) and in 2019 was made an Honorary Life Member for providing exceptional leadership and making a significant contribution to the FTZ industry.
