Robert Piazza Joins Rockefeller Group to Lead Residential Design & Construction in the Northeast

NEW YORK – July 20, 2017 – Rockefeller Group today announced that Robert Piazza has joined Rockefeller Group as Vice President, Residential Design & Construction for the Northeast, a new position. He is based in the company’s headquarters office at 1221 Avenue of the Americas in Rockefeller Center. He was previously first vice president for Equity Residential in Manhattan.

Rockefeller Group has continued to expand its residential development capabilities nationally and throughout the Northeast, with recent mixed-use, multifamily and condominium project completions in New York City, New Jersey, Florida and Arizona. Completed projects have included phase one of Flushing Commons in Queens, Amaray Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale, Liv Northgate in Arizona and AVE Florham Park in New Jersey.

Mr. Piazza has more than 30 years of experience in New York City residential development, having completed more than 1,500 apartment units across five projects, including the 42-story 400 Park Avenue South and 500 W 23rd St., a luxury rental property adjacent to the High Line.

Prior to Equity Residential, he was a senior vice president for Bovis Lend Lease, where he oversaw the completion of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel at the Time Warner Center and the Gramercy Park Hotel and Condominiums, among other projects. He was also Director of Construction for Ian Schrager Company. He is a graduate of Fairfield University and is an active member of both the Real Estate Board of New York and the New York Building Congress.
