Introducing Independence Way at The Green

Rockefeller Group and a partnership of Bergen County’s United Way and Madeline Corporation, recently completed an eight building, 62-unit affordable housing development in Florham Park, N.J.  The project, Independence Way at The Green, is located at 1 – 8 Independence Way at the Green at Florham Park.  The project sits on an eight-acre parcel that was donated by Rockefeller Group and developed by the company for the United Way and Madeline Corporation, which will own and manage the facility.

Serving Those in Need

Independence Way serves 102 individuals with developmental disabilities and thrives to build a sense of community not only in these homes but also in the broader community of The Green at Florham Park and the Borough of Florham Park.  Residents will work, shop, play on Independence Way. The residents will be able to live independently in high quality, fully ADA compliant, sustainable housing in a beautiful setting.

A Part of the Neighborhood

Independence Way is the latest addition to The Green at Florham Park, a 268-acre master-planned development of Rockefeller Group’s that is home to the New York Jets, BASF North America’s headquarters, Summit Medical Group, AVE Florham Park and the Archer Hotel. The homes and residents are a wonderful addition to The Green at Florham Park.

Bergen County’s United Way/Madeline Partnership

The BCUW/Madeline Partnership was formed to increase the supply of homes people can afford. It is a partnership formed in 2004 between two not-for-profit organizations with over 60 years of continuous service to the community. Together, BCUW/Madeline has partnered in the development of over 250 units of low and moderate income, special needs and senior housing units for rental and home ownership. The partnership manages all aspects of project development including site acquisition, new construction, renovation and revitalization.
