Mark Singerman to Head Rockefeller Group Development Corporation’s New Phoenix Office
Company Opens Regional Office to Support Arizona Projects
NEW YORK, July 22, 2008 Rockefeller Group Development Corporation (RGDC), through its headquarters in New York City, has announced the formation of the company’s first office in Phoenix. The office will be run by Mark Singerman, who joins RGDC as regional director. In this position, Mr. Singerman will play an integral role in the development of RGDC’s three projects in Chandler (Chandler Corporate Center, Chandler Crossroads, and Chandler 101); two projects in Gilbert (on Warner Road and Recker Road and on Germann Road and Mustang Road); and the company’s industrial project planned for Tucson Airport Commerce Center.
“RGDC is very excited by all of the developments in the southwest and will continue to devote resources toward this very important region,” said Kevin R. Hackett, president and chief executive officer. “By establishing an office in Phoenix, RGDC is better able to serve the needs of the market, rather than manage our important Arizona projects from our very active California office.”
Tom McCormick, SIOR, regional development officer and senior vice president of Development for RGDC, said, “Mark is a resident of Phoenix and knows the area very well. His responsibilities with us will be similar to those of his previous position.” He was western region president of Crosswinds National LLC in Phoenix, where he was instrumental in developing commercial and mixed-use master-planned communities.
As a regional director of RGDC’s new Phoenix office, Mark will be heavily involved in the in-depth financial and market analyses of new and proposed deals. He will also direct consultants, including architects, engineers, and leasing agents, in the acquisition, entitlement, and development of properties in the area.
Singerman was with Crosswinds for 11 years, heading up its commercial division before assuming additional responsibility for large-scale land development in the western states. His extensive real estate career began in 1975 in the Midwest as a retail leasing representative for Developers Diversified REIT in Cleveland, Ohio. He then served 18 years in California with several large developers, including regional mall developer Ernest W. Hahn, Inc., and Trizec/Hahn, where he directed the development of retail and office projects, homes, and apartment buildings. Before joining Crosswinds, he served in Michigan as national director of real estate for Fretter, Inc., and as director of real estate with Group One/Mammoth Entertainment, Inc.
Singerman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University and a Masters of Business Administration from California State University.
RGDC is a national owner, developer, and manager of prestigious commercial real estate properties. Its developments include corporate headquarters, landmark properties, multi-use urban complexes, multinational distribution facilities, suburban business parks, and foreign trade zones.
