Santo F. Curro is Vice President and Controller of The Rockefeller Group. He serves as the company’s Chief Accounting Officer and is responsible for financial reporting and accounting functions. In this role, he is actively involved with the establishment and implementation of the company’s accounting policies and procedures and financial reporting systems. Mr. Curro serves in this capacity for Rockefeller Group International, Inc., Rockefeller Group Development Corporation, Rockefeller Group Technology Solutions, and Rockefeller Group Business Centers.
Mr. Curro participates in the development of the company’s long-term business plans, structuring acquisitions, and analyzing investments. He is also involved with the design and implementation of strategic business alignment initiatives.
During his tenure with The Rockefeller Group, Mr. Curro has participated at many levels in key transactions and milestones in the company’s history. Mr. Curro manages relationships with business partners, particularly with respect to property management financial reporting. The company manages over 10 million square feet of office and industrial space.
Mr. Curro began his career in public accounting with a then “Big Eight” firm and subsequently joined The Rockefeller Group in 1985 as an internal auditor. He later joined the Controller Department as Manager of Corporate Accounting, responsible for consolidation and financial reporting for the parent company as well as its finance business unit. In 1997, he was promoted to Assistant Controller and was elected an officer of Rockefeller Group International, Inc. In 2002, Mr. Curro was named Controller and in 2003 was elected Vice President.
Mr. Curro is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), Financial Executive International (FEI), and an associate member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT).
