Stephen Carroll is Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Rockefeller Group International, Inc. As Chief Information Officer, he is responsible for The Rockefeller Group's Information Systems Division, which provides information technology service and support to The Rockefeller Group and its subsidiaries.
He oversees all information technology management, services, budgeting, policy, and planning, including computer services, data resource planning, data analysis, database design and administration, and systems design and development for the corporation.
Mr. Carroll works with senior management to develop information technology strategy and direction, defines current and future information technology requirements in line with the company’s business and strategic plans, and advises line management on information systems approaches to accomplish corporate and business-line objectives. His responsibility extends to distributed systems, office automation, systems integration, quality assurance, security, disaster recovery, continuity of operations, internet/intranet, and website development.
Mr. Carroll has held numerous positions since joining The Rockefeller Group in 1976, starting with Senior Auditor, Assistant to the Treasurer, Director of Internal Audit, Vice President and Controller of RGDC, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of RGDC. Before joining The Rockefeller Group, he held accounting positions with Amerace Corporation in New York and Illinois. Earlier, he worked for Phillips Van Heusen Corporation and Dow Jones & Company, after serving three years with Price Waterhouse & Co. in New Jersey.
Mr. Carroll holds a BBA in accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
